Coelenterazine hcp is a semisynthetic analog of coelenterazine.
Application
Coelenterazine hcp has been used:
- as a component of coelenterazine reagent in the reporter assay
- in the purification of Renilla luciferase-labeled Annexin V
- in evaluating the activity of aequorin in Escherichia coli

Coelenterazine hcp has 190 times higher luminescence intensity than native coelenterazine and a faster response time than native coelenterazine.
