BRD0539 is a cell penetrant and potent anti-CRISPR agent. BRD0539 is a reversible inhibitor of Streptococcus pyogenes Cas9 (SpCas9) that disrupt the SpCas9-DNA interaction. It potently inhibits SpCas9/PAM binding leading to a decrease in nuclease activity. BRD0539 is stable under physiological conditions.
