General description
Phosphatidylinositol-3, 4, 5-trisphosphate 3-phosphatase and dual-specificity protein phosphatase (PTEN) is a tumor suppressor and can be cleaved by caspase-3 at multiple sites (D301, D371, D375, and D384) during apoptosis. The generation of cleaved PTEN (D301) is an indicator of apoptosis.
