Recombinant Human LEFTY-A is a bioactive protein intended for use in cell culture applications. LEFTY-A are TGF-β ligands that inhibit TGF-β signalling. LEFTY-A have been shown to induce mitogen activated protein kinase activity.

High biological activity
In-house activity testing of Gibco® Recombinant Proteins includes cell proliferation, cytotaxis, calcium flux, secondary cytokine up-regulation, induction of surface antigen expression, and protease assays. Recombinant Human LEFTY-A specific activity is determined by the dose dependent ability to inhibit BMP4induction of alkaline phosphatase production in the MC-3T3-E1 cell line.
