General description
基因编码瞬时受体电位阳离子通道，亚族V，成员1（TRPV1）定位到人类染色体17p13。它是非选择性阳离子通道。该蛋白在气道神经纤维上表达。它也在感觉神经元中强烈表达。

瞬时受体电位阳离子通道亚家族V成员1（TRPV1）是辣椒素受体。它参与疼痛感知。TRPV1还调节传入信号和支气管收缩。在大脑中，它调节神经元功能、运动行为和神经炎症。辣椒素在TRPV1的激活中起着重要作用。
