General description
Bruton tyrosine kinase (BTK) is encoded by the gene mapped to human chromosome Xq22. The encoded protein belongs to the Tec family of kinases.
Immunogen
The antiserum was produced against synthesized peptide derived from human BTK around the phosphorylation site of Tyr551.

Bruton tyrosine kinase (BTK) is a key element of B-cell–receptor signaling, which facilitates interactions with the tumor microenvironment and stimulates the survival and proliferation of chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) cells. The encoded protein also plays a crucial role in activation of various constitutively active pathways of CLL-cell survival, such as the Akt, extracellular signal-regulated kinase (ERK) and nuclear factor
