CD326 (EpCAM) MicroBeads have been developed for positive selection or depletion of epithelial cells or epithelial tumor cells comprising from single-cell preparation of tissues and organs expressing mouse CD326 (EpCAM) antigen.
CD326, also known as epithelial cell adhesion molecule (EpCAM), is seen in the majority of carcinomas. It is expressed on cells of epithelial origin, epithelium-derived tumor cells1, circulating tumor cells, and cancer stem cells. Moreover , EpCAM is expressed on mouse embryonic stem cells and was described as a marker for the identification of successfully reprogrammed induced pluripotent stem cells (iPS)2.
Tumor cells enriched by CD326 (EpCAM) MicroBeads can be cultured3 and analyzed by immunocytochemistry4, flow cytometry, or molecular biology techniques, for example, RT-PCR5.
