Clone REA1300 recognizes the human CXCL9 (chemokine (C-X-C motif) ligand 9), also known as MIG (monokine induced by gamma interferon), which is found on hepatocytes, monocytes, macrophages, and endothelial cells in response to interferon-gamma (IFN-γ) stimulation. Chemokines promote the differentiation of immune cells, cause tissue extravasation and induce chemotaxis. CXCL9 binds to CXCR3, which is predominantly expressed on memory and effector T cells. The interaction between CXCL9 and CXCR3 regulates immune cell migration, differentiation, and activation, which leads to tumor suppression.
The combination of CXCL9/CXCR3 and PDL-1/PD-1 plays an important role in cancer research.
Additional information: Clone REA1300 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors.
MIG, CMK, Scyb9, Small-inducible cytokine B9, C-X-C motif chemokine 9
